nimrods (alloys)

    Hey,

just a quick one about these. ive just picked them up and im fitting at the weekend. But they are with the standard 206 tyres... so i think its 205 45 16 or something around that.

my arch linings and that are all out so theres more space than on a standard saxo. and ive got the 10mm spacers required. will this be ok you think?

Yes it should be ok, how low are you?

Normally if you are -40mm on 16's with 40 profile tyres you wont get any/much rubbing...

But with 45 profiles you would only have to do minor arch mods...

Have a read of this for more details: http://www.saxperience.com/faq/show-...e.php?artid=81

45 tyres will need arch work

arch liners out front and rear or modify them

will need the rear bumper bracket trimming

and maybe a bit of hammering on the front if the metal sticks out in the arch

i had 3mm spacers on mine think i should of gone for 5mm though

you may need longer bolts with 10mm spacers

Why do need spacers for Nimrods anyway?

How comes they cant just be fitted, they are plenty wide enough already surely.

On a slightly different subjet - White Nimrods Look pure Sax mate!

    Ditto that.

205 is pretty wide, after all the standard S rim is only 195 so a spacer will push that out even further. Surely its not needed.

I could understand if it was a narrower tyre say if you was going from a 185 to a 175 or something.

the offset is different 206 uses ET 26

well it previously had 17" pace wheels on, anyone remember Foz old car? well its that :-)

so arch linings have been removed etc... so i would of thought it would be no problem.

White nimrods....hmmm :-) would look tasty on black VTS. Or anthercite>?? hmm

the spacer changes the offset by moving the wheel further away from the hub

Ive just refubed a set of Series1 Rallye steelis just waiting on tyres now.

These are the 5.5 ones so I'll be running 175's so do I need a spacer for these or are they good to go?

depends on the offset, the rallye wheels should be et16 so no spacers needed
