when i get back from germany im after camming and puttin manifold on,

some people have told me to go 708 cams and some people told me to stay away from them. What would the benifits be from havin 708 cams and how much am i expecting to pay with re-map and fitting. im wanting to have more power at the set off,

Nxt question wot manifold would i be best off gettin?

Wot bhp should i be kickin out

    manifold- gmc 4-1 =approx 300

708s are fine mate, whos told you otherwise?

cams about 330, fitting could be 150 and map 450

all prices give or take, there a catcam group buy on?

youll see around 155-160 give or take

Wouldnt the gmc 4-1 be better for him as hes camming it, it will give it more power top end...

woops meant to say that, ill edit

    as above really.
fitting and a re-map will be the most expensive part mate.
just make sure you have everything done that you wanted before the re-map.

like filter, full system, 4-1 manifold,de-cat, cams. chipwizards are shit hot for re-mapping standard ecus. you will probs be around 150bhp give or take

fit a ralleye box for a bit better bottom end

maybe fit a 4.5bar fuel pressure regulator from GMC and a free power unit too

    want set off speeds

top end speeds dont bother me that much anymore since i got banned

Forget performance cams, and get a modified gearbox then.
  9. #9
708 cams, 4-2-1 manifold, 106 rally gear box and a set of slicks
  10. #10
Agree 4-2-1 will be better lower down. The 4-1 has better peak power at higher revs. The 4-2-1 will see your power band shift down a bit

If you work out the price of a remap vs the price of a stand alone ecu. Some thing like omex 600 with map 3000 software. You would still need some roller time to setup but gives you the option to change and play with things without the cost of a full remap every time you want to upgrade. Every one says about remapping but if you are tunning on a buget standalone is the way forward.

must admit, im defo looking at running standalone on the track car, like c8james said, buy the time you add up the cost, you could have a brand new standalone system that will be more beneficial in the future

fuck all the other mods off
get a sequential box, proshift and launch control with slicks
gear changes in a split second and you would be away to fuck

    Raceland and get a KMS.

If it is a 3 plug then leave it.
  14. #14
    Oh and around 160bhp.

im not sure how hard/easy KMS is to fit??

i know people rated them well
