ok so just to make it clear im not really an engine kinda person so please bear with me as i am not very technically knowledged so if i say something stupid im very sorry lol.
right basically i have a 1.1 saxo its got 3 stud hubs arghhhh....

basically im after a little more power so im opting for putting in a vtr engine and i need a couple of questions answered from all you technical ppl.

im probably going to get it done this month, so id like to know rough;y how much a vtr engine will be and roughly what sorta labour price im lookin at im also wondering if i will have to change the struts and that when i get the engine as my funds are a little low i was planning to do this later on, but get the engine in this month if i can if it will work with 3 stud gear? i no this might be a little insane as ill need bigger brakes i assume but ill take it easy till next month when i ws planning on uprating all the suspension and breaks changing to 4 stud etc.

any help would be greatful for. thanks

Stop right there! lol. It will cheaper and a whole lot easier just to buy a VTR. Or better yet, a VTS.

Yeah man just get a VTR, if you do get a VTS be prepared for higher insurance premiums etc but they are lovely .

To your question, I guess about 1k or so all in with labour from a garage + parts ~? Engine 300 ish labour 500 then all the hubs, brakes, suspension... dont bother tbh, I wound't .

as said would be easier to just buy a vtr

you could probs get a full vtr end, box, loom etc for £300 ish

    you would need the following.

ignition, keys, immobiliser (unless you get your ecu unlocked)
    engine,
    gearbox,
    engine loom,
    ecu,
    clocks,
    drive shafts,
    suspension,
    anti roll bar,
    brakes,

see if you can get it all from the same car, that way you wont be mixing and matching parts. tbh vtr engines go for fook all now

a lad on here called williamsvts fit motors for a few hundred quid plus travelling costs (fuel) good lad to, does a top job
