#2I'm in the same situation with my wicked red Mk2...
Wouldn't mind one in the right colour.. any places i can get one from?
Sorry to hi-jack the thread mate! -
#3none at all mate there too tacky
but if you have to go for one then it would have to be black
-
#4Personally I wouldnt get one. I fitted one on my saxo and then say the light and took it off, sunstrips make the car look a bit chavy imo! But as said above black if you have to have one!
-
#5Oh right, didn't think they were that bad if they were pretty small, and in the right colour, but it wasn't exactly a priority thats for sure...
Will steer clear then! -
#6yeah mate there not necessary imo, you have sun visors
-
#7Yeah i suppose.. fair enough!
-
#8They are necessary if you have no roof lining or sun visors as in my car.
Has to be black as said if you do get one -
#9Well i have sunvisors, so won't bother!
Cheers -
#10do you think that a black one would look good on an all icelandic grey car?
-
#11Saying that, there's a posi blue VT* in westbury, with a blue sunstrip with a website in white, and that looks quite nice to be fair!
-
#12mines black, and i got a black sunstrip, and who gives a crap what people think. If you like it get it!
-
#13Halfords - £7 i think i paid.
Also, adds strength to your windscreen
Stopped mine smashing after a head on:

im kidding. they arent safety devices. -
#14That would have Tcutted out with abit of elbow grease lol ouch that looks bad
As for the sunstrip - Black pretty much works on any colour car, sometimes a strip that matchs the cars colour can look abit ott but all a case of personaly taste really.
Watch out for MoT time as the Law states - No sunstrip must be lower enough to be cover by the path of the whipers so in short if the whiper touches the strip its not gona pass a MoT - But having said that alot depends on the Tester and station still regardless of the law -
#15why not just get a window tinting place to just tint the top of your glass,
wont look tacky at all
