changing gear nob in 1998 VTR

    was just wanting to ask if anyone has a gide of how to change the standard gear nob in a citroen saxo vtr 1998? and if so any advice on which 'new' replacement ones will fit on?

    to take it off put it in 4th, straddle it and pull like a biatch. as for replacement i love the 106 GTi gearknob, straight fit

    Any really mate.

    just pull really hard while twisting it , it will come off eventually.

    I fitted a momo carbon and aluminium one had to cut a white sleeving off the stick though!

    If yours has a white sleeving kinda thing when you remove the gear knob you can replace it straight with a 106 gti gearknob (any pug garage less than £10.00)

    Or cut it off and use the instructions if you buy a new one

    will a 'sparco' gear knob fit in that case??

    Most ones will because they fit with grub screws

    If it aint tight put some electrical tape round the pole thingy lol

    thats the link.
    wasnt sure as i have a bottom left reverse not a lift reverse. will it make much of a difference?

    make sure you dont pull the whole stick out though, its best do someone to pull on the gearstick whilst your pulling the other way

    also cut the rubber bit off the end of the standard knob and attach it back on the stick as its good for keeping the gaitor in place
