Performance exhausts

   Are there any performance exhausts that don't make a really loud rumbling sounds? Silent as possible really. I know it sounds quite stupid like.

   Magnex exhausts are fairly quiet i think. Until you de-cat them

   magnex are quiet mate, well at high revs they seem to make some sound

   Do you have to buy the one for your engine size or can you just fit any saxo backbox?

   if you're not after performance then any saxo back box should fit, but if it's not a vtr/s or the like then the back bumper will need to be cut for the tailpipe. If you're after a performance exhaust, you will need a cat back system to see any gains and it will need to be for your size of engine so the bore is correct.

   magnex sound best. Not to loud when drive normal but loud when in high revs. Think ill go for magnex. Thanks for your help guys.

   janspeed have a subtle tone mate, or go custom you can tell them how you want it too sound then.

   Magnex and Janspeed are among the quietist sports exhausts on the market.
   
   Magnex do make universal back boxes in their most popular sizes ie 3.5' round, 6x4 oval, twin slash cut and motorbike style cans for car fitment.
   
   Ive only ever seen these on offer from one place and thats www.demon-tweeks.co.uk not the cheapest but they do hold a bigger stock than most. I think they are around the £100 plus mark then any decent custom exhaust shop or good mechanic should be able to fit a custom back box and fabricate some new hangers etc.

   i had a quite a few back boxs on mine : mongoose, sebring, rage and sportex thought the sound from rage and sebring wernt that good the mongoose sounded the best but i sold that and me mate gave me a sportex 4" jap just until i get my new one but i actaully really like the noise from the sportex sounds pretty awesome
