Loads of ?'s for people to answer!

  1. #1
    1. can you fit 16" wheels (45 profile - I think) if I dropped my VTR 40mm?
    2. which is the best full suspension kit for a 40mm drop?
    3. the best place to buy them from?
    4. i want a new exhaust system, and want a deep boreish sound, so my car don't sound like a ped in high revs, so which is the best system for this sound
    5. where's the best place to buy it from?

Got a new job and have money to spend on my vtr, aint got a miss' so unlike you guys who have 1 I got money to spend on myself and don't have the saying "what's the point?" or "your an idiot" etc lol

Any answers to the ?'s above will be great.

    Thx.

you can fit 16`s with 45 drop but you defo have to do arch mods!!!

    Piper, nice sound to them.

Might not be deep enough note for what you want though.

Work on the arches are too much shit if you ask me, i'm sure 16s would fit with a 40 drop... Not 100% sure though.

I wasn't trying to be rude, some people like very deep loud exhausts, some don't.
  7. #7
im sure you just have to remove or modify the rear bumper bracket to fit 16`s i think!!! best 2 ask people who have 16`s on a lowered sax
  8. #8
i think they do because on website where you put car details in then they show what wheels they have for your car, they go up to 16" alloys. do you think if I put 15" alloys on and drop 40 it will look ok or not?
  9. #9
should be able to fit 16's with 45 profile on a 40mm drp but any lower you will neeed arch mods

if you get 40 porfile tyres you can go down 60mm
  10. #10
powerflow exhust with a 4-2-1 manifold sounds the bizz.... right grumble too it especially when ive got the de-cat on it louder than anything ive heard!
  11. #11
You can drop your car 40mm on 16's with no arch mods if you keep to 40profile tyres. It will save you alot of hassle, as it will keep the diameter of the wheels consistant

Yeah, its not like you can glue em back together again lol. love the sound of an american muscle, but i will have to settle for the french frog instead lol
  13. #13
saying that - my mate has got 16s lowered 50 i think and i think it only rubs on the rear with a full load - so im sure you can get away with 40mm

im runnin on 17`s. 40mm drop on 205/40 profiles.

also running a straight through powerflow exhaust system - mines deafening but they can alter the system for the sound you want!!!

put it like this - i smoked my mates garage out when cutting all my arches, but it was worth it and allot of fun.

the best thing about powerflow is that when they did mine, they got a back box and revved my car 2 see what it sounded like, and they just kept grabbing back-boxes and tested the sound until i was happy. the only thing im not sure about is the performance increase though.

i get a discount at the local powerflow to me as i always bring them business. i payed 180 for my first straight through 2" system. and now i payed 250 for my new one but that was because it was straight from the turbo elbow!

would work but if you have a full car it will rub on full lock
  27. #27
16's on 45 profile tyre, lowered 45mm. Rtec arch work, not alot though.

Powerflow exhaust full system inc decat and booster.Cost me bout £300

My old turbo, lowered 45mm on 16's on Spax Krypton filled shocks and springs.

Carworx custom exhaust and manifold straight through 3 inch bore..
Cost me over £500 though! Sounded mental though!

    1) with 45 profile tyres they will most likely rub mate
    2) for 40mm I would go Bilstien Sprintline!
    3) Motorsportworld.com are quite cheap
    4) IMO Magnex give a nice deep tone while not being loud and farty
    5) Not sure on the best place to get a Magnex from, but again Motorsportworld
    may be worth a look

16 with 45 profile will rub even standard height over large bumps/dips and with weight in the car. Not hard to sort.

mine looked like a tractor on stilts when I had 16's, 45 prof unlowered!!

Its a standard bumper, smoothed and then a RGM diffuser moulded on, and smoothed, and towing eye smoothed.

mate, best to get 40 profile tyres on a 16 inch rim, they look much meaner. plus u can lower it about 50mm all round b4 u need arch modding, thats wot i got on my car.
As for the kit i got an Eibach spring and shock kit and it is just top quality...quite pricey tho
