Suspension Failure >_<

   hi people. well as the title says my Rear suspension has totally dropped on my vtr its just sitting on the stoppers and is way to low,the car way lowered 60mm when i brought it about a year ago. My question is do any of you no any garages that could fix this..pretty much every where ive been cant do it as it is to low to go on the ramps! Also will it need a new axel or just new torsion bars?

   you will be best to get a complete axle. What has most likely happened is your bearings have worn so much and collapsed. Most likely your beam tube will be scored inside rendering it useless

   ok niceone will a vts one fit it ok>? my vtr is 2000 and the axel is off a mk1 vts.
   
   Do you no of any garages around the staffordshire area that could maybe do the work ?

   If you get a complete beam then its only i think 4 bolts that hold the beam to the chassis, then you will just have to connect up the brakes. Any garage can do it. Find a local one and you will be fine.

   Ive been to like 20 garages all of which say they cannot do it cuz the car is too low and will not fit on the ramps >_<

   it wont be scored inside. the bearings run on a pin that is replaceable. you can replace this pin and your bearings and you will have a good as new axle. you could buy 2nd hand but that could end up fucking straight away.

   the pin is what sits inside the bearings (part of each arm?) certainly on the 205 the bearings can get in such a state that the pin damages the beam tube. Hopefully that isnt the case but with 106's and saxo's now up to similar miles it is a risk that will need checking if the beam is stripped for bearings to be replaced.
   
   Also on your parts shopping list you should get new seals

   bearings and seals for both sides are about £60, new stub pins are £70 each. you need a big press though as it took me 60 ton to get my pins in and out.
