lambda problems

  1. #1
hey all, just had me car back from the mot station and it passed on everything apart from the lambda on emmisions. so i changed the the sensor below the cat and it still failed. the engine managment light is on and i recently had a 4 2 1 manifold taken off if that would make a difference.

    any help with this 1?

well all citroen will do is put it on the diagnostic machine and see what fault code its reading. It is £44 pound for a diagnostic - i had this done at a citroen specialist. They will tell you what is wrong. Give it a few days yet the light may still go out! Could also be the sensor in the manifod

I had my fault code read at a garage but this does the exact same job for the same money, buy it delete your engine management light and see how it goes. If it has failed its mot because of emmisions you could have something wrong with your cat!

but the cats for carbon dioxide and its ok with that, its just the lamba sensor. I hate not knowing what i have to do 2 repair it!

yea it failed on the mot on the emmisions. it was ok for carbon dioxide/monoxide but failed on lambda because the wire was cut on the sensor below the cat. so i replaced that and it still didnt pass. the engine managment light is also on. ive disconnected the battery for 20 mins and restarted it and its still on.......
    HELP?????!!!!!

Get your post count up mate and keep checking the for sale section. Also keep checking ebay for people that are breaking saxos. Buy that fault reader or get a diagnostic done at a garage that way they will tell you what sensor may be broken!!
