tin foil, NO, IF IT TOUCH ELECTRICAL THINGS IT WILL SHoRT CIRCUIT THEM!!!!! use cling film or non conductors. tooth bruch/paintbrush and a degreaser like gunk, leave it on there for 10 mins and wash of with a hose pipe. use black to black/wd40 on black plastic parts. USE THE SEARCH BUTTON BE COVERED LOADS

Apparently tin foil doesnt short circuit anything, i think polishedbliss said its ok to use aswell, which i dont get tbh. Id still rather use plastic bags

Shouldn't be any problems if you cover all the right bits up correctly. Gunk is a great degreaser.

The wires arent uncovered themselves, so tin foil is perfect for the job!!

This looks to be a scary job, i should really get the body shop to do it, its all their dust whats over the engine bay!!!

cling film is good to cover electrics
a mean you can do it without covering things but just make sure you direct the water onto it for a long time
