Is this a pretty straight forward thing to do? My mate done it with his Civic & looks rather race spec which i like. Ive got a fusion sub in the boot so i would need to mount this to the floor somehow im guessing for safety?! Is it as easy as removing the bolts for the rear bench and off the seat comes? Thanks

#2Have a search mate, been asked alot before...
But yes very easy this as the seats are just bolted in the car! -
#3As long as you have a decent set of sockets you should be able to get to this kinda point without too many problems.

This was just the rear seats removed and the rear carpet and sound deading.
Later I found the correct tools needed to remove the Parcel shelf supports and a few other bits like below.

The rear quater door cards will be removed as will the front carpet and headlining at somepoint but there is no rush.
You will need a set of narrow, long reach alan key/start bolt drivers to remove certain parts of the interior but any decent tool shop should stock what you need. I picked mine up in a 99p store!
Remember to wrap the seats in Black sacks and make sure they are sealed well as you dont want damp, creepy crawlies etc getting in them depending where you store them. Make a note of how everything comes out so if you deside to refit at a later date you know, and dont forget to put ALL the bolts, nuts, screws etc somewhere safe. One mate used to put them in money bags and write on the bag what the where for/from.
Also worth just mentioning - If you have a aftermarket exhaust depending on brand you might find on long motorway runs it might be alittle boomy but you get used to it. Passangers dont as they dont spend enough time in the car so be warned -
#4Cheers guys. About my sub though ... do i move it where the rear bench was or leave it where it is and bolt it to the floor?
-
#5the weight of your seats is probably less than your sub.
ditch the sub with the spare wheel >.>
could be a plan? -
#6Could be. I like ma tunes though
Spare wheel, back seats is maybe all i will go. was thinking abt putting the sub on the floor and bolting it to a bit of mdf. not sure how i'd work though
