bog standard no nonsense 3/4 plate for the front of my car, the standard one is a bit tatty and i think a 3/4 plate would smarten the front up no end

  2. #2
wouldnt bother mate, you will end up getting pulled for it
  3. #3
not overly concerned with getting pulled our police are quite lenient with plates round here

  5. #5
well its up to you but the smaller you do the plate the more of a chance you will get pulled and maybe fail an MOT

I got a £30 fine a few years ago for having a smaller front plate on my astra gte. He was determined to do me for something, after spending about 15 minutes checking every thing on my car (started from the rear) his eye lit up when he saw my plate, and could write the ticket fast enough.

Get a private plate with fewer digits and cut that down. Still legal and looks a million times better

I had motor bike plates on my Cougar and they where WELL tiny! I personally loved them as they made the car look bigger and really tidy'd up the front and back of the car.

Admitadly I got pulled once by bobbies on foot but I blagged it as I had my correct sized ones in the boot and said Id been to a club meet the night before got back late and had forgot to change them.

He checked all over my car, my tax, insurance and had a 20m chat about my car and then he just let me go.

Its up to you. I dont mind small front number plates and besides if its just the front if a copper sees you from the front, he's then got to turn around and give chase all over a tiny nimber plate . . . Nope dont think he's gona do that.

French plates will look better but if you like the look of the tiny plate go for it and keep the normal sized one in the boot just incase
