rite i have bought a BMC CDA 2day and i have bought a 90 degree bend with a hole in for the pipe that comes off the rocker cover!

there is another pipe that went into the top of the air box and i was wondering what u do with this pipe?

i think this might be the hose connected to inlet manifold - you could put a breather filter on it

i can only remember one pipe coming off my airbox and that was for oil breather

ive got the black top engine, it also has a pipe connected to the inlet manifold rite next to the thin vacuum hose that goes to the airbox. it is connected to a air flow meter or summit like that, i had to connect this to my air filter as it was very loud when it was on choke - it sucks in air like a biaatch

i have put everything on 2day and was wondering if it was best to put the oil breather pipe back into the intake or put a breather filter on it?

the reason it goes back into your intake is so the oil vapours are burnt off by the engine combustion. This helps the emissions of the car but is not so good if you want to get the most power out of your engine. A breather filter will not be great in the long term as there is nothing to catch the oil vapour as it cools and you will get oil deposits in your enginebay. You need a nice oil catch tank and then the filter sits on that.

This is my setup with the BMC, i have a BMC crankcase filter...

As kam says, you need to clean the oil deposits off the rocker cover, i do it everytime i clean the car but it can be left for about a month before it starts to cake on. Takes a few seconds. but ideally a catch tank with a filter ontop would be better.

Also i have a breather filter you can have for £10 quid posted. (piper x)

Engine bay is nice and clean lol.

I have just fitted my BMC, what the best thing to do with the cold air feed? Mine is sort of wedged above the radiator so it comes out in my grill, pipe is squashed though so could be restricting air into the filter, What you think?
