thats whats happening with me, i checked compression on the car & was getting compression on all 4, had replaced all spark plugs too but was still miss-firing with me

Only happens with me when the car has been running for 25mins though, as the car heats up the coilpack is intermidently failing cause the heavy juddering when accelerating & sounding like a tank. Just to double check i took the pack off, flung it in a plastic bag & bunged it in the freezer for 15mins) came out cold & started running normally for another 20+ mins.

Pain in the arse when i get stuck in traffic though.

just trial and error to get it right mate, try it on a diagnostics test to find the problem a bit better

nah mate, was just goosed in all gears, i could drive in 2nd or 3rd best if i drove with my clutch half down, don't wana keep that up though incase i burn it out & end up needing to fix that too.

tis mad though, i've heard of em costing alot more.

tried euro car parts n they haven't got any standard 1's in stock, which is a bit crap but they've got two other 1's that would fit for 42quid which ain't too bad either.

cheers for the info btw pred.

Does any1 know the difference between these 2 coilpacks for my VTR from EuroCarParts??

Apart from the £15 price difference that is??

My existing coilpack has the grey plug fitting but both those say 'Grey Coil Pack' and i don't wana buy the wrong one as money is tight atm.

And do Euro do a warranty scheme with their stuff???

    Cheers again,
    Rob

I had problems with the coil pack mate, and found that euro car parts had grey coil packs with different prices.
So i just popped down to euro car pats in Springburn and told the guy I was looking for a 2001 vtr coil pack.
Think it was 42 quid with vat. Car ran fine after a misfire.
Not sure on the warrenty side of the parts, just best to ask mate.
