vts gearbox HELP please!!!

   gearbox has went on the vts.... could anyone please give me info as to which gearboxes will fit and what difference in performance will be..?? eg.vtr, 1.4 box etc...

   any will fit but it depends on your requirements to a major extent. VTS gearboxs on the 2nd hand market tend to be rather high as they are a popular retro fit.
   The VTR, 1.4, 1.5 boxes are taller which means acceleration will suffer slightly although you may see an improvement in fuel economy.
   
   the 1.1 box is a common mod for high hp'd saxo owners looking for a bit more acceleration however the final drive seems to be slightly weaker than can realistically be taken for a VTS although it offers a significant improvement over the other availible boxes in terms of acceleration.

   any MA box will fit, just goes down to your needs.
   
   dont listen if someone says you should run a 1.1 box.. it doesnt have sports ratios and has a small diff which is weaker than a vt one
