Kam Racing, Pug Sport

Been looking at the pug sport exhaust and i love the noise of them, my mates got a pug sport on both his 205 rallye and his 106 rallye and they look mint.

Will they fit on a vtr? will i need to make any alterations to the car or the exhaust?

Yeah you'll have to cut the bumper I think. I had one and it was quality, spat and bubbled etc. Only problem was it's loudness on the motorway. I do alot of miles and it is boomy around 50-60mph (average speed at rush hour)

I thought that Peugeot exhuasts sit lower than Saxo ones as a whole... So I don't think the VTR bumper would require modification.
  4. #4
If that is the case you'll still be left with the gap where you exhaust sits flush. I know mine was only a few mm off my bumper.

The peugeot exhausts sit below the bumper line, obviously leaving the exhaust cut out on the saxo bumper empty.

Like anything with cars, if you have the correct amount of time, tools and money can be done.

This is a picture of a member who fitted a 106 Pugsports exhaust to his Fruio (I think), it shows the fact that the 106 exhaust hangs lower than the saxo as the saxo exits through the bumper where as the 106 exits under the car.

Your best bet is to go for the OMP stainless steel system like the one listed here on eBay.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OMP-INOX-SS-Mo...QQcmdZViewItem

By the time you have had the Pugsport modified to fit the saxo you could have the OMP which is probally as good as the Pugsport

I wanted the look of the Group N so I had a custom box fabricated which was straight through to my sports cat.

    and one of below

the other option is to go for the supersprint race intermediate pipe and a proper saxo backbox. We are unsure what to supply to match up at present as supersprint have discontinued their decent backbox for the saxo.

I also had a custom cat back made to the same spec/setup as the group n/a exhausts.. straight through into a backbox, no midbox..

also has a 2.5" tailpipe rolld out at the end to 3"..

Anything under 3' is hard to find and your probally best off going for a custom back box if you dont want to lose the cat as the OMP removes the cat.

Lose the cat and the centre box and this will see any back box around the 3' size sound similar to a pugsport.

i had a group n omp exhaust it was mint it was soo good, just fancied a change and got an ashley on at the moment. But now i fancy another change

Which out of the two types of OMP systems did you have?

    Mild Steel or Stainless Steel
  12. #12
    Ive got the Stainless OMP.

    Want a video????
  13. #13
Yer that would be good - Saxo180 was interested in information on the stainless steel system.

Post the link and I'll pm him to see if he wants to take a look.

So is yours the full system including the decat? How do find it compaired to whatever was on the car before.

Any info or views you have would be well usefull mate

I said in a different thread the other day.

Ive had A Magnex, Scorpion, Supersprint and Powerflow.

Then finally the Inox S/S OMP Grp N and its the straight through de-cat.

Well, after comparing it to the other exhausts. I can say it is the BEST exhaust ive had and you seriously notice it kick you in the ass around 4k. Theres not much bottom end power with it because its a single box. But this is good because its a rally system and its designed to be used when a car is being flogged upto 7k.

Sounds AMAZING! Not uber loud but loud if you get me, its raspy as, boomy and its gorgeous.

All I can say is get one!

Heres the video. It DOES NOT do it any justice at all! Videod on a mobile lol.

will the vts inox system fit the vtr?
  17. #17
Thats not unlike the noise mine makes I'll do one of mine at some point.

Best kinda noise I reckon, not too deep and bassy likemost aftermarket exhausts but clean raspy like a old skool rally car

I met up with Colin a couple of weeks back. First thing I said was "nice exhaust". Sounds good. I'd have one in a flash

Well I've currently got the magnex system and standard cat which I'm selling. Got a supersprint pipe (manifold to backbox) waiting to go on for trial with a custom backbox (which I haven't decided on yet), but saw the OMP jobbie a while ago and thought £300 is a bargain if it's a good piece of kit
  24. #24
It is a good piece of kit!

You wont believe how light the whole system is, its silly light!
