Do you think this'll work

   I’m just wondering if this will work. I’ve done a very rough drawing to give you an idea of what I want to do.

   Might do, but surely it would just be easier to buy a striaght through centre section?

   Easier yes. Quieter No. I like my car as quiet as possible. I do alot of motorway driving you see. I loved the sound of it before it fooked up!
   
   Also i'm having a little money trouble at the moment and cant afford £125 for a new middle section. I need a cheap fix that'll do me for as long as possible.
   
   I'm wondering if the exaust is still blowing but into the new gap i've created by welding the new blanking plate down will it just work like the silencer or just not work at all??
   
   I can easily fabricate the parts and wodding can easily be got from demon tweeks.
   
   I could always take the top off the centre silencer and jam some more wadding in..
   
   Dont know enough about exhausts. LOL
   
   I think the reason it keeps splitting is because its stainless steel being welded to mild steel??
