if someone is prepared to lend a tailgate for a few weeks we are happy to get a mould made so all you guys can get your carbon fix. These would be very lightweight race spec items.

kam racing thats a great idea!!!!!

youd sell a lot of em

you can pick up tailgates cheap on ebay.

i'm sure CCF will do them in carbon if you ask. when i bought my bonnet from them, the guy said he was going to be making carbon bonnets, boots, roof and even doors iirc. they must have a mould of the tailgate for the fibreglass so i'm sure they could do a carbon one. i think they are still working on alot of parts, so they should be available soon.

Out of interest how uch would you be floggin em for?
  13. #13
    ill lend my tailgate
  14. #14
    hmm, sounds good kam.

    What sort of price?
  15. #15
if we can borrow one it will help keep the costs lower (moulds cost bloody loads) so we can offer a better price per item for saxp premium members Off the top of my head around £300-£350 per item but its really hard to judge until you get a panel to measure up and work out how much carbon you will need.

do you have one going spare then? You are quite far away so I am loath to get you to box it up so I can sort a courier to collect but needs may mean I have to
