Faster Furio.....

  1. #1
Hi... i'm kinda new to all this modding business, and i was wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers as how to do up my 1.4 furio i just purchased. Its fairly nippy as it is, but it really needs a bit more bite.... I've started to make it look how i want it, but not too hot when it comes to tuning. cheers....

its going to be a tough time getting good gains out of the 1.4, unless you have mucho cash to through at it. A better option in the long run would be to have a VTR/VTS engine fitted but understandably a lot of people dont want to do this.

To start get an exhaust (preferably a full system) and an enclosed induction kit. After that a manifold (dont know if the manifold bolt holes are the same as the VTR) and if you want to take it further then its time to stop and think about what you want to do

bah, get a VTS dropped into it, I think they're about 1800 ish from GMC motorsport ( GMCmotorsport.co.uk ) with under 20k miles on the clock, so they claim

Yeah best way to get more power is an engine conversion i had one done from pug-performance for £1700 for a 106 gti engine and believe me you`ll notice the differance.

Sounds good to me. Better start saving for my VTS engine!! Who knows, you may see my car on here someday.

I've checked out that GMC Motorsport web page and it sounds pretty good.... i quite fancy gettin the VTS engine conversion. But can you tell me if they carry out the conversion or just supply you with all the parts? and if so, how much extra do they charge? Cheers....

give them a phone or email them, they will do the conversion for you no problem at all and your car would be in possibly the safest hands for it, no idea on how much they would charge for the total conversion give them a bell
