you are really better off just gettin rid of the pins all together, they are a seriously bad thing to have on the car, making it easy for sum pikey to break in with little trouble at all, best off to get rid!

yeh i spose but its just a bit daunting doing it if u know what i mean

its a better feelin knowin that they aint there, than it is when your car isnt there, follow the guide on this site and u'l be sorted.

and then u can feel better knowin that ur car is alot more secure

i think with the mk2 you will need to cut the bar, though have a right good wiggle with them first before you do cut them off, mine required quite a bit of grunt before they popped off, though if you cut them off dont think its anything to worry about cos i doubt you could get them back on again!

yeah just watch what ur doin & cuttin, alot of ppl have lost their central locking when tryin a de-pin ;o

the only other problem i encountered was my door panel would not come fully off because of the ball on top of the pin so it was hard to get to anyways
    thanks for the help

yup its in a wee blue back and has a few grommets 9mm and 13mm i think and i think it was the 13mm that fits pretty well

yeh if i cud get the damm pins off
  16. #16
    cut the wire
  17. #17
what if it messes up the c/locking
  18. #18
it shouldnt there is no reason why it should but if it did then you could reattach the pin with a quick spot weld or a small clamp
