Lowering soon.. Tips please

I want 2 lower my furio.. cos it lwks wank standard. Im nt sure though wether 2 buy a whole suspension kit or just get the springs itself. Obviously there's a huge price difference, but is there much difference in the handling? I've heard that with just the springs, then the ride will feel every bump.. but if that's the only problem then im more than happy 2 spend less than £50 on the springs itself.

any recommendations on which 2 get?

If your just going to get springs get a decent set of eibach ones:

Thnx m8... but i would be able 2 fork out £200 for the Gmax kit.. Or they just shite? Will get those Eibach ones if there aint much different performance wise.

What you mean all round? Surely in the Gmax kit you just get the springs and dampers 4 the front? Torsion bar adjustment in the back end?

Was it easy 2 fit btw?

Gmax are ok, but eibach are highly recommended on this site, and although im yet to get the car lowered when and if I do I will be using eibach springs, plus for that price you cant go wrong

Iv been told it depends on how low your goin more then 60 full kit but less springs are fine. Is this right???

Thnx.. But lwked on POTN.com (which is my fav site) and the eibach kits dont provide dampers, while Gmax do. Obviously it's better 2 have uprated dampers 2 match your springs, so why is eibach still recommended? Im confused lol.

i would stay away from Gmax, cheap shit.

if you REALLY push your car then just springs will cause it to understeer, but you need to be giving it some for that to happen.

Yep £200 is considered budget for a full kit. Have to take out a mortgage for each strut for the 309 S2000 we are building lol

Eibach do pro dampers for the Saxo but you could get a Bilstein Sportline kit for cheaper and that'd include springs.

Could get you a suitable Bilstein Sport kit for just over £300 and that'd be so much better than the Gmax offering.

I'm all for saving money with tuning cars but with suspension I woudn't compromise. They effect braking, cornering, accelleration, car control, ride, comfort.. all the most important things.

Finally somebody who seems to know lol.. Suprised that £200 is considered budget tho. I'd b willing to pay £300 if it means i'll get my money's worth.
But is it relly worth getting full kit if i just want it for show? I dont go ragging the car round corners etc.. well... the odd occasion

So would you just recommend springs?

If your just getting springs then get a decent set - maybe an eibach prokit or sprintline (which is cheaper). While the car may be just for show you still have to drive the thing so the most cost effective options aren't always the best.
