Saxo sypher Kit??

  1. #1
My brother is gettin this kit on his vtr at the moment and was just wondering how do u jack up the car to get the wheels off lol.

Its lowered 40mm all round on 17's at the moment and the sideskirt will be near touching the ground.

Anyone any pics of this kit on there car??

he will probably need to drive it onto some ramps or onto a bit of wood to get the necessary clearance
  3. #3
Heres a pic of the side skirt against the car. it getting moulded in so hopefully it'll be able to take a few knocks.
  4. #4
be prepared sor it scrapping off the ground particularly at the back, a few people have them on and they scrape

As said he will probably need to drive onto something to get a jack under, i got myself some metal ramps than when driven onto lift the car about 2 inches higher off the ground giving me ample clearnace for trolley jacks, but i can still get the standard issue jack under without these if i have a puncture

ive got those skirts on my car and am also sittin on 17s with a 40mm drop. They r lower at the front wheel than at the back, thats why im thinking bout dropping mine to -60 at the back, heres a pic of them on my car...

The main problems they will have fitting the kit is that the front and rear bumpers and built with arches in mind so a base model the edges of the bumpers won't quite line up.

Apart from that there shouldn't be anything they can't overcome.

No pics of the front yet since the bumper wasnt fitted when i seen it last. Boot has been smoothed and holes cut for exhaust in rear bumper center since i last seen it. Should look well

One problem we're havin is that when the car is lifted of the ground the rear wheels fall and touch the side skirt before its of the ground. Does anybody elses do that??

Anyone got the web addy for CCM if CCM has a site?
  18. #18
Clio_styling, is the car on 17s? When my car was coming out of the bodyshop they couldn't get my wheels on either, but I had standard suspension so I had to get it lowered first.

Edinburghsaxo, its the Sax Appeal front bumper on my car.

Smithy, the website address for ccm is CCM

Yea its on the 17's atm lowered 40mm front and back with spax springs and shocks. I dont think theres a problem until te car is lifted of the ground and the wheel then touches the skirt. Afraid it will fail MoT like that

I've just remembered that I also had to get spacers put on to stop the wheels rubbing. Does your brother have spacers on his car?
  25. #25
Yea he got spacers when he got the wheels. Think the shock problem may be sorted out now . Seen the car 2nite again and the boot and skirts were gettin sprayed so hopefully the car will be back within the next few weeks.

Still need the front grill, bumpers, brakes, eyebrows and exhaust fitted Cant wait lol
