s/c fitted

   just fitted s/c kit but engine runs lumpy,loud tapping noise(like tappets but alot louder) any ideas to wat these probs are.

   Fitted to what engine? VTR or VTS?
   
   Could be all manner of things... does the S/C have its own oil supply? Have you fitted a thicker head gasket, or removed timing belt, etc?

   ye its got its own oil supply,98 vtr blacktop,i havent removed timing belt
