-
#10Any pics of Anthracite coloured VTS rims would also help
-
#11i like anthracite, but you need to make sure you either get charcoal anthracite, or black anthracite, or it will turn out like mine, which is far too light for me.
but im going for matt black for my black vts now, cant really find a paint code where the grey is dark enough... so i suppose im saying either black or anth
-
#12matte chipps too easy you wii never stop geting it touched up. think its coz theres no protective laqure over it.
-
#13black on black, thats how mine looks
-
#15Pred - Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeee LOL
I got nurses
-
#16nasty nurses
-
#18hahaha thats class - durhams not too far from me. ill borrow a bit of your collection
-
#19no problems mate, i was downloading them till i dropped my laptop so a few weeks without it is a bitch
-
#20LOL - Porn
Gotta love it.
-
#21make sure you laquer them well or you will chip them
-
#22i have been told by everyone matt will chip, but i am thinking of getting matt black then laquering them, it will give a better finish than gloss black laquered, and il always keep them well waxed
-
#23white mite look good
-
#24already been said, lol
-
#25yeah paint unlaquered will chip mate
people who spray car in the matt effect paint use the laquer very lightly -
#26mine are matt black. it will be the lacquer that helps them from chipping. evidently they will end up chipping though, best off doing them powder coated to be honest.
-
#27they will be powdercoated matt black

after coating, they get laqured normaly dont they?
would be a pain to keep getting them re done, and too much laquer would ruin the matt look im guessing, will see what they say tho, was thinking of getting them coated so this should help, so may just ask for more laquer than normal, will lose the proper matt look, but wont be gloss
(and sorry for the hijack dude
)
-
#28if they are powder coated theyll be fine. alot stronger, and as for lacquering depends on the finish as the paint is burnt on
-
#29i think il take them to the coating place and let them do what they think is best in terms of laquer

cheers mate -
#30np, i got quoted 120 for all 4 without tyres on.
150 with tyres on.
a local garage tyrespot or something will take them off for a tenner
-
#31Here's some pics of a black mk2 with anthracite wheels...

-
#32ill take some tomorrow of my black vts wheels on black vts
-
#33i've been quoted by one place £220 with tyres on... and another at £100 tyres off, so think i will be removing tyres my self and getting that done

that saxo above looks spot on tho -
#34powder coating is more of a plastic coating, its sprayed on in powder form then baked to go hard, good stuff but expect to pay a bit more for it
-
#35That rover charcoal is the exact same color as my wheels. Looks great imo.
-
#36it does like rushy, better in the flesh too
ill be getting my parts back on tomorrow but no pics yet as my uncle has the camera
