A mate of my dads recomended them, said they were rele good and reasonably priced. Just wanted to know wether you guys had heard of them, used them? What do you think?

Want to lower my vtr and ive decided i want to go for mainly performance now instead of looks. So i want springs and dampers etc. What do you think the best drop would be and the best kit? I have 16z on the car.

    Cheers Chris

best drop for handling is 40mm and 15in wheels

first up what is your budget? This is what is realistically the limiting factor on the quality of your options. Gaz are ok as a brand but there are always better on the market. The trick is to get the best you can afford....

40mm higher? Hows that better, surely it makes the car roll like a bitch?

Realistically probs absolute max of £400--£500 for the kit then fitting on top.

My car is on standard springs etc atm and handles pretty pooh tbh have to take corners etc rele slow or i can feel it tryin to slip away from me. Might have something to do with too of my tyres rotating backwards, i never new they were rotational when i fitted the wheels they are getting put right today.

I have a Spax PSX kit, 60mm drop (which is for looks) very bumpy, cant get over speed bumps, handles really well on smooth roads but if its a bumpy corner then the back end twitches.....

IMO 40mm drop for handling with a good set of tyres.

you can have stiff suspension that is not slammed to the deck. When you go too low the wishbone angles are at the wrong angle and you tend to get lots of bump steer, your suspension can also hit the bumpstops more regularly, both ruin the handling. You end up with a car that turns into corners very sharply as there is less roll and the COG is lower, but you hit a bump and the cars balance is upset.

just sorting the tyres should help a lot. £400-£500 is verging on budget coilover or top of the range non-adjustable suspension. Coilovers are only any good if you can adjust the rear to match or have large wheels that need more wheelwell clearance, for good internals you have to spend a small fortune though as budget brands do not offer the same performance in ride quality

    that means nothing.

best drop with what, you cant just make a generic term.

there are different poundage of springs at different lengths, which are then matched to different poundage shocks and/or torsion bars!

you cant just make a statement you dont know much about lol

its not just the height thats the issue, its the lb thats in them, a lower center of gravity can be better, but hardly any companies make any kits with the correct length shocks and LB of springs to suit the car properly.
