    £150 is cheap, most people spend more than that in a weekend or two on the piss.

    its not alot for an induction kit, when you look at the cost of things like a procmp that was 280+ and itgs which are similar.

    quality doesnt come at £50

    if it was an induction kit at £500 id see everyones point.

    personally id fit a green enclosed imo it has a better design to it.
    bmcs are good they have good filters and will be better than a 57i

    they are also quite quiet

    ebay had a vts one on recently (not that that helps ) but went for like a hundred iirc?

    as for getting a new one, kam racing are selling a limited edition one i believe, so if you can afford £150 then get one

    or look for an alternative, green are slightly cheaper, and raceland with green in are even cheaper (but out of stock at moment)

    I've got one... sported my mate who had the 1.6 16v Clio. 110bhp standard. He also had a KTEC induction kit, and a full system catback exhaust with a resonator. I sported him when my engine was completely standard, he more or less slaughtered me.

    After getting the BMC CDA, I surprisingly managed to get ahead, and stay ahead. I don't know what power you get from it, but if I could keep ahead of a 1.6 16v Clio that was... well, not HEAVILY modified but was modified then I would say the Induction Kit DOES make an improvement, even if you don't notice it.

    Ive compared against;

    Piper X open filter

    K&N 57i

    And the BMC is quieter than both by a fair bit, the k&N is ridiculously loud in comparison. The open ones also seem to have a 'Boggy Effect' when accelerating hard from low revs. The K&N was fitted straight to the TB as i was testing and not keeping it so it could'ave been the warmer air, but it did have a cold air feed right to it. The piper was fitted to a 70 degree angle and metal pipe i had spare so it sat pretty much infront of the battery.

    The Piper X was wank imo, when i put the BMC on after the piper i felt the difference when accelerating from say 30mph in 4-5th. The BMC let me accel fine but the piper just made a Baaaaarp and the speed didnt increase.

    The BMC is quiet and seems to let the engine rev a bit more freely than the others, the K&N is a good filter but its too loud for me. Also i get a pop when i hit the limiter with the BMC and not the others, which i thinks a bit strange.....

    yes. there is the standard unit and then depending on what car you have we add all the right breather filters, hoses, clips.
