will clio 172 brakes fit a vts

    i havea 2002 vts and i have got a chance 2 get my hands on a set of clio 172 front brakes-however i dont know if they will fit? does anyone know?

    not unless you want ball ache.

    spacers and brackets will need machining at best

    just get GTI-6 brakes.. 283mm, same size as clio sports iirc

    they will fit without a shit load of modifying..

    depends if he wants to run 14" wheels or not!

    as gti-6 are to big.

    206gti 266mms are what he would want then

    i can get the clio brakes for free (discs,calippers and pads). just a thought

    (i have got the vts wheels) by the way

    No, like itsafastworld said, depends what wheels you are running.. 14" VTR wheels can only get the 206GTI 140 brakes on, thats near enough the biggest you will get under those..thats what i have and they are soo close to the wheel.

    Think you would need a minumum of 16" wheels to run GTI-6 brakes..not 100% someone correct me if i'm wrong..

    And yes, they will fit straight on, just needs some slight grinding to the caliper carriers so they will fit..

    Yeah just dont use the clio ones..Even if they are free..

    There are plenty of PSA group cars with good brakes that will fit..

    If you have no money obviously you need to leave them, lol

    as i have said in my first post.

    for a start having brackets to machine etc.. is hard to get them right.

    is it worth putting yourself and other road users at risk to use free brakes that will not fit properly?

    4x100 instead of 4x108.

    wont matter what discs they use. as they would need brakcets machined you make make them use any discs you wanted.

    15's Mate. Cyclones are 15 and they fit fine. I guess VTS wheels will be ok as the Xara VTS has the same ones.. correct me if i'm wrong..
