ive got a mango furio at the moment and its lowered with VTR wheels, was just wondering whether its a good or gay thing to do if i was to remove my saxo door badges and replace with VTR ones! with it being mango people will know its not a VTR/S however for all they know it could have been upgraded to one, they wont know whats under the bonnet lol so do i do it or not??
VTR door badges on a furio?
-
#1
-
#2yes mate its not a VTR so dont do it, you will get slated trust me
-
#3ok mate, cheers for that!
-
#4Aye, badging up is a bit gay i reckon. Quite a few mates have said to me to put VTS rims on it and badge it up, but its pointless when the lumps no where near vts powah
-
#5You could badge up if you wanted but peronally I think its abit of a waste of time and money, No point in replacing something that isnt broke. But if it makes you happy then go for it mate. But its only a badge at the end of the day
-
#6leave it mate
get some ones that say saxo1 user thanked this post: -
#8would you put a 'type R' badge on the back of a corsa?!
If the answer is no, then dont put the vtr badge on your furio
if the answer is yes (and believe me some people do do it..i know, iv seen them)then go ahead and do it...coz pretending to have something youve not got is the least of your worries!!lol -
#9spot on my view exactly, it all annoys me like 16v badges on VTRs aswell and turbo badges where they shouldnt be!Quote:would you put a 'type R' badge on the back of a corsa?!

DONT DO IT
-
#10Its hard to tell with vtrs though, but furios have a nice set of shitty drum brakes for all to see
-
#11I dont think its ghey doing that as in every country saxo's are sold, apart from here, furio's and westy's are called 1.4 VTS's..
-
#12fitting vtr badges to 1.4s is like stuffing a pack of socks down your pants!
it wont impress people when they find out who small your lump is
-
#14HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
-
#16be proud of your 1.4 mate, many people have to struggle with a 1.1, it aint all that bad.
-
#17i saw an M3 badge you know the 'M power' on the back of a corsa once....wet myself i didn't know BMW made M-Corsa? badging is ghey don't do it, smooth over the badge recesses if it bothers you!
just my two pence
-
#18haha pissin maself at that comment from itsafastworld, quality. nah tbh i thought it was a gay thing to do but thought id see peoples opinions anyway, il spend my money on some colour coded mirror caps instead!
-
#19personally i think badgeing up on anythink what isnt that should definatly be not aloud!!!! some 1.1 vt* tries to races say a zetec s... the zetec s dicks it, he goes and tells all his mates what he's just done with a big stonk on!
it destoys the image and reality for the real owners!!!! -
#20You could always get some that say 'Saxo' if you'd like to have a change.
-
#21its so much cooler down badging!
-
#22mine already says saxo!!! hang on a min do furios usually say furio on the side?
-
#24dont on mine lol, maybe previous owner removed them!
-
#25put the furio "Saxo" side strips back on
-
#26Dont mean to bring up this thread but I saw some replies that angered me. I have just bought vtr badges for my furio and tbh I dont care what you all think and neither should he, YES its saying its something its not but that basically what your doing when you turbo it or engine conversion it but no-1 slates that. People put vts engines in 1.1 but nobody says anything, people turbo saxo's when if they were meant to be they would come pre-done with it. Iv noticed something on here, people are so quick to say weather they dont like something and criticize others and tbh its pissing me off...
-
#27Put simply a sheep in wolf`s clothing no don`t badge up mate.
-
#28my furio has vtr badges on, bought it like that. Been meaning to change them back for a while now, dont get the point if its not a vtr?
edit:
oooooops, just seen the date it was poted :/ -
#29Why shouldnt he? Why should he care what you think? Iv asked opinions on things yes but thats because im unsure, but things that I WANT to do I will do no matter what you guys think..
-
#30lol arguing with people 4 years ago
my housemate has a 1.1 desire which come with saxo badges, hes put a 16v engine in, but i got him a set of 1.1 badges to replace the saxo ones, i couldnt find any 1.5D badges in the scrappy which is what he really wanted
down badging is cool! -
#31lets face it, the cars probably been scrapped, so its all bollox, meanwhile back in 2011...........1 user thanked this post:

#33What an bump! haha Any way, Fuck VT? Badges, these are what you want

-
#35the furio stickers the least of you're worries if you've still got the furiYo interior, sitting in there would scar you for life
-
#37Why would you badge it up as something it aint?
If I was 17 again then yes. I did so. An xr2 badge on a 1.1 fiesta. Who was I kidding?
On another note; furio 92 - badges, where did you find them? -
#38Mine has citroen sport badges on it. yes, it aint a vts, and it isnt fast, but they came on the car.
reeaaallly want to 16v a flatarch and leave 1.0 on the side
also, theres plenty of furios about here that have S wheels and badges. can spot them a mile off, what with the drums, interior and the shorter rear axle
zetec S aren't all that fast anyway :-/ always seem to leave the ones around here for dead!Quote:personally i think badgeing up on anythink what isnt that should definatly be not aloud!!!! some 1.1 vt* tries to races say a zetec s... the zetec s dicks it, he goes and tells all his mates what he's just done with a big stonk on!

edit edit: super ass bump, 4 years?!?! -
#39i just left the 'saxo' door badges on my 16v flatarch. i had vts ones to put on but i changed my mind. very deceiving as i have drums and standard backbox aswell
-
#40You absolute penis..
It angered you, oh nooooooo e-warriorz
Get a grip -

That was a random car in the league of a car between a furio and a vtr in my eyes.
And to the lad who's badging his car up, If your still doing the same tricks in 10 years plus... Your life hasn't worked out the way you wanted it too has it? Your only lying to your self.
I bet your insurance company liked that you badged your car up too
I wrote that in 2007 and I'll never change. Pay the premium if your that bothered.
