gearbox problem

    dont know if this has happened to anyone else on here but when on the motorway the other day i was averaging around 100mph sometimes going to 125 and when i got to low speed driving it wouldnt engage 2nd or 4th but now it will again anyone know what it could be. its an 03 saxo vtr btw

    I think its something to do with the syncronisation mesh!

    mine does it wth the first gear now and again

    about 28mph going from 1st to 2nd near the limiter in 1st

    stick to your power band and change at 4k then

    the g/b's in these are terrable its a relly comman box thats fitted to saxos rovers sum pugs, 206 for example and to be honest it sucks (Y) ive found in the past for it to pop out of reverse or first a lot as they get a little older

    thanks for your help people but the gearbox broke last night where the torque link bolts to the diff, it ripped the casing from the diff and i was told by a citroen breakers that the vts box wont fit is he talking bollox?
