    Hi people.Can you just pull the citreon and saxo badges of the back of the car paint them black and stick them back on again? or would it look sh*t? If not any tips please!

    Yea as long as you dont brake the plastic legs on the back of the badges. Spraying is probably the best way IMO as long as you laquer it up plenty so it doesnt chip away.

    can t-cut then whilst on the car.

    if you're going to remove them, heat them up first with a hair-dryer, then use some fishing wire to get behind and remove the glue from them. (reduces risk of scratching your tailgate).

    sand down, primer, spray, lacquer (depending on finish). i didnt use lacquer as i wanted mine matt black.

    then use number plate stickers to put them back on. worked fine with mine

    Personly I would T-cut them. You still get a nice finish without the hassel...

    doing this tomoz, got told to use fishing wire exactly how viper explains, doing it the hard/ longer way becoz im spraying alloys so mite as well do the lot.

    if you're spraying alloys its a lot of work mate. the badges are a couple minute job hehe. took me 2 weekends to do my vts wheels

    I simply used T cut, kitchen roll, a rag, and half hour, works wonders, get a really clean black finish

    Well they came of simple. Just got a credit card under the tape and of they came. Waiting for them to dry now. Any offer really cheap ways to mod up my vts?

    I think spraying them gives you a better finish than t-cutting them... if you spray them they will match your bump strips better.....

    Vipergfx... if you didn't laquer yours they aren't going to be particularly hardwearing....

    Brodz, what model saxo have you got? you could mesh and colour code the grill... another cheap mod to do... or smoke headlights and fogs...?

    I sprayed mine and was very pleased with the results...

    Try smoking your headlights mate, Really brilliant look depending on what you are aiming for with your car.

    Ive got a black 03 vts. Im gona get a dimma grill with black mesh and smoked rear lights. I heard you can spray them but i dont wanna fu*k it up lol. My chic is moving in with me and its costing loads, otherwise id get my suspension sorted this month. Gutted

    If your doing a dimma grill with black mesh, get yourself some Ultra smoked rear lights....

    Then DIY smoke your front headlights and fogs.... then lower it about 40-50mm... would look perfect...

    snap mate!! i have just finished my vtr wheels and it is ALOT of work. and i am just starting the badges (removing and spraying). and if u ask me its the best way to do them both. btw i have a red vtr and sprayed both black!!

    I just t-cutted mine. To be honest taking them off then putting them back on you are more likely to fook it up...t-cutting them doesnt look too bad does it?!

    Yeh understand its gonna take some time but im working on the grill & badges 1st and then moving onto the alloys, if they take a few days i dnt mind so long as there rdy for the NW meet on sun fingers crossed its not a big job ;/

    Cheers alex. Im buying a dimma grill of ebay now, really do need to lower it thou. Spraying badges went fine today. Just got sum self tape to put the badges back on with. Would a upper strut brace be any use lads?

    FurioAL I know but they are hardly going to be coming into contact as something such as alloys. they are matt black and imo look embosed compared to a glossy finish. prefer it tbh

    An upper strut brace would stiffen your car, making it have slightly improved handling, but these would make nominal difference if you are still on a standard suspension setup... id get it dropped first...

    Many think strut braces are just engine bay bling, but it depends how far people have taken their suspension set ups as they can work effectively, especially lower strutbraces...

    But my car is too low to fit one.. it would catch on everything...

    Vipergfx, yeh i like the matt look, im sure they look great, but one scratch plus rain = paint peeling off... i guess they are not hard to redo... and as you say they dont exactly get worn out/scuffed much... so you should be alright
