16v conversion another big problem

Right the problem is with plug that joins the engine loom to the car loom (just behind the nearside headlight). The new (16v) plug is way too small to fit the car. The new engine has a single plug ECU, and so does my current engine. Here is a photo of the two plugs, the one of the left is the new 16v engine loom plug and the one on the right is the current plug into the car.

Help?

Have I got a newer engine than I think?

i had this problem mate you need to trace back the wires and cut and splice the 2 plugs together,

i changed the complete car loom for the 1 out of a vts to save arsing about with wires and cuz i didnt want to pay any1 to do it lol so theres a nice pic to show what a mess it all is

get an autolec to do it for you or have a go yourself, or get a complete vts loom out fo the same year car as your engine and change it its not very hard just annoying and time consuming
