    generally how much would cams and everything needed like pulleys and that cost for an mk2 vtr?

    8v! 1 camshaft + 1 pulley!

    depends on each manufactuer, if your fitting it, and mapping.

    id allow 1k inc mapping.

    yeah as Ry said, allow a 'K' but more specifically your looking at about £800

    yep i was being conservative to allow different prices in manufactures/mapping/fitting..

    ok i know a bit and im pretty handy with spanners, but ive never took an engine apart before lol, is it say, moderate difficulty??

    you can fit it, but i would let the timing get adjusted by people who know what theyre doing.

    haynes manual although i wouldnt trust everything it says but certainly gives you an idea of what to expect doing the job.

    yeah id let the timing and remap obviously be done by the pro's, but id fit it myself to try and save some cash. Whats recommended for a black top vtr? Catcam 708's? Its a plan for the summer depending on how many shifts i can get at work

    depends on budget, id wait till newmans cams have been Rolling roaded as theyre cheap and alot have just bought a group buy!

    if not kent pt 40
    or piper 270/285 do some research etc...

    not a problem, theres a few users on here with diff cams, best thing is to ask them etc..
