Red top batteries.

   I have been told that you need a different battery charger for a red top battery? is this true as i am about to buy one.

   Nope.
   
   We use a standard off the shelf charger.

   Cheers mate thought as much, guess they were just trying to get ne to buy one from them £69!
   One last thing would this battery be ok for my car as in being able to turn it over without dieing straight away?

   We run a PowerVamp PV25, and run a very modified car. No problem what so ever on turn over, even when hot at end of a stage.

   which red top one are you getting? Different models have different charge capacities. I think you would really need a red top 20 at minimum.
   Foggy - whatare the Powervamp ones like. We were looking at stocking these as the makers of redtop batteries are very particular about who distributes their products

   It is a red top 20.

   We have had no problems with the turn over of the car with the PowerVamp batteries, and Ed at PowerVamp is a very nice chap also..
   
   The one we use, is the 680 Amp version
   
   It has only failed to start the car once, after the Porlock Tarmac stage on the recent Somerset Stages Rally, but this was after we found that we hadn't turned on the cooling fans, and just adjusted the tick over up to help the water flow in the engine....
