    magnex and janspeed are quiet at low revs, if you went custom you could tell them that you wanted that.

    If your just getting a backbox get piper... if your getting a full system get a magnex...

    Powerflow can be good... it's luck of the draw... depends on your local powerflow dealer... lots of people have problems with dodgy welds and blowing...

    But if they fit it well they can make them to sound exactly how you want

    Out of the leading 4 or 5 brands Magnex/Janspeed/Piper/Mongoose/Scorpion if quite is what your after then either Magnex or Janspeed, both will be almost as quite from tick over to around 3k as a standard system then getting louder up the rev range.

    Magnex 3.5' back box will look like this



    I had a Mild Steel Janspeed which you cant get anymore but its been replaced with a Stainless Steel fitment like the Magnex but with a slight smaller rear siliencer that fits under the bumper where as the Magnex doesnt.

    My mild steel janspeed



    Wouldnt go with Piper/Mongoose/Scorpion if your looking for a quite system.

    Magnex systems are brilliant mate, about as quiet as you will get from a performance system.

    Well Ive always like the badges both 'Citroen' and 'Sport' its only cos it was so different from the norm and people said Errrrr why have you done that theres no such thing as Citroen Sport.

    Well there is no such thing as a 130bhp VTS but people swear blind they have one so

    I bought the missis the Little Miss naughty one that reads 'Naughty person on board' She loves it, but she wants the steering wheel cover so far Ive talked her out of it

    Id like to see a back to back test on a standard S or R with a Magnex cat back system then a Ashley back to back system!

    Maynot be the best fitting in the world but I bet they are as good if not better performance wise!!! @half the price too.

    Yep sorry to admit it I agree there are alot of sheep but the thing is its so hard to build a car now (Not just saxos) thats original without pushing the envlope so far that nobody likes it.

    I think the Saxo has goten to the point where like RSturbos and Nova SR/GTE/GSI where the styling has returned back to factory but with modern twists, same so thats why its harder to be origianl these days - the secret is in the details, like the exhaust, like the induction kit, like the brakes or the spoiler Whoops I didnt mean that

    A saxo should be a track car with sutile mods.

    None of this silly body kits with cardboard side skirts etc, thats what jap cars are for.

    French make nippy, well handling cars and thats whay they should stay as and look as...

    I have a twin powerflow with a sports cat and moddle box removed and its loud all the time but had no problems with it.

    I have heard ashley exhaust are good but they havent been mentioned here?

    Piper full systems, or piper backbox's without centre silencers are pretty loud yes... but not just a backbox...

    Not like an ashley buddy.... if i don't accelerate hard and change up reasonably early you can hardly hear it at all.... it's only if you rev like crazy that you actually hear a piper backbox.... slip it into 5th on a motorway and you can hardly hear it... and don't hear it much when idling... it's perfect in my opinion...

    And find me pictures of an ashley exhaust that sits aswell as that ^^^..

    And as for the fitment of the ashley one i don't rate it im afraid... you have a sexual car, but the piper fits it sooo much better...

    Id recommend Ashley as I have had one in the past, Manifold and full system on a Mk3 XR2i, but I AWAYS advise people,

    Yes they offer good gains
    Yes they are priced very well even if they are only mild steel
    BUT the WILL need proffesional fitting as they are not the best quality fitting exhaust, but well worth the extra money to have fitted right.

    You know when you have a Ashley system
