hi guys was just wandering if u think its worth the money and performances of what i am after (i am after a duplex sports cat and manifold) just wandering what your thoughts r of the prices and whether it is a good move to do what im after and if it is worth it

right my quotes are : 279 for a normal single system from cat to the back
389 for a duplex system both from cat to the back
    189 for a sports cat
568 for sports cat and duplex system together
850 for sports cat, duplex system and the manifold

im thinking if im tight on cash i should just go for the sports cat and duplex system and get the manifold at a later date

Not what you should be doing if you want out and out performance matey...

Get yourself an exhaust system that's well known for the job. Magnex, Scorpion and Supersprint to name but just a few.

I know a few that had exhauts made there when it was 'Top Ger', they were forever going in and out getting to rewelded and rehung.

Much better off with one made for the car!

Well, its more a case of if YOU think its worth the money - Id pay anything for something if its something I WANT.

Seem alittle bit overly priced but not too bad.

To keep costs down, Id sourch my own boxes and possibly sports cat and spread the costs that way you can buy bits when you have the spare cash, then when your ready to fit it should be cheaper to fit your items plus you know whats going on your car.

If your going dual exit it, keep the pipe bore the same as factory as you will lose abit of back pressure by splitting the pipework and having the two boxes.
The sports cat is a good idea but dont expect it to be as good as a complete decat but at least it will be MoT friendly, also the cat will help generate alittle bit of back pressure which is good.

Keep the back boxes small and compact with tailpipes under 4' for both looks and performance

Your see good gains from the manifold but whether they will be lost by the dual exit is anybodies guess.

    Best advice is to

    1) Sourch two decent universal cans (your choice size and style)
    2) Look into what a Sports cat will add and weight up if its worth the money
    3) Sourch a 4branch manifold and possibly a stright through centre section
    4) Then get the exhaust builder to quote again but with the parts supplied by you, like I mentioned this way you can spread the costs over a few months.
