55mm drop on vts

   Hi all
   
   I’ve just had my car lowered 55mm on gmax springs and shocks by a Citroen specialist it looks really nice with the standard wheels thing is there is a knocking noise coming from the left side suspension ive checked everything including wishbone nuts as advised on this site and can’t find where this noise is coming from. Has anyone had the same drop (55mm) and experienced the same problem?? And if so what the hell the noise is? (Tapping like knocking noise on bump roads)

   have you checked the track rod end? Does the car also feel like it is drifting towards the left when you drive? This could definitely point towards the track rod end

   yes it does pull to the left. no i havent checked the track rod ends would this be the noise may b?????

   more than likely to be honest with u mate. I had the same problem. I just had the track rod end replaced and then the tracking redone and that sorted the problem

   check it out yourself. get a haynes (if you've not already got one) go order a track rod end from Halfords, may be able to look up the price in my halfords when i go in for work later, then try fitting it yourself. If you have a look at the old track rod end , you can tell if its knackered because the moving part at the top will be really work out and possible hard to move ( that may have been the knocking noise you heard)
