Peco's are a good well priced aftermarket exhaust which have been around longer then most of the leading brands and they offer well priced noisey exhaust for people who want just that.

Dont expect a Peco to perform like a more expensive sports exhaust but it will look good, sound ok and for that kinda money wont break the bank.

It wont make the car any faster but it will sound fast and thats not a bad thing as there are quite a few S owners that have noisey exhausts and love em for just that reason

As long as your sure its off the same age car ie Phase1 or Phase2 or a R or S as they might be slightly different but any desent mechainc or custom exhaust shop should be able to bend a bit of pipework of adjust a hanger to get it sitting right.

    Looks in good nick

Like I said they should not be seen as a Performance adding mod but more a styling mod. Quality should be fine, never had a problem with Peco's quality before and Ive had about 3 in the past on different cars purely as a styling item as I didnt either want to fork out for a performance item or the car was not cattered for by performance exhausts.

no back box on its own should be seen as a performance mod. if the though pipe is not changed you will never get anymore power with just a back box.

I thought I had mentioned that in one of the prevous replies?

But might have been another thread,

Yes its well worth pointing out that NO back box will add any kind of performance as most of the restrictions in a NA cars exhaust system are at the front where the Cat and Manifold are concerned. You might see 1bhp or 2bhp on a new turbocharged car as back boxes are very quite these days so maybe on say a New Focus ST or Astra VXR a free flowing back box might add a pony or two on a NA car like a Saxo it wont do a thing apart from make it Sound faster

Back boxes regardless of type, brand, size or cost will improve performance in the slightest as the biggest restrictions are not to be found at the end of the system but to the Front of the system with the manifold and cat being the biggest holds on performance.

If your are looking for abit of extra noise and a nice tailpipe then for £50 I cant see how you can go wrong! I recommend (much to somes disscust) Pecos on a regular basis for people that just want a shiny big tailpipe and abit of extra noise.

Check out www.performancecentre.co.uk and see what a Peco back box Would set you back, you will then see what a bargin £50 is
