Stiffening up rear suspension

Right ive got some new wheels on with 20mm spacers and when theres 2 in the car and i go over abump the arch scrubs on the wheel.

Im on standard shocks on the rear, would upgrading these stiffen the rear up?

Im not that low. there probs about 1.5" gap between top of tyre and arch when car is parked up.

Yeh mate stiffer shocks should reduce the travel a bit.

Could go for some adjustables too and have a play about with it till you get it right. (think you can adjust all adjustable rear dampers without needing to remove em from the car!)

Spax Psx shocks can be adjusted on the car. There's a little knob on the side which can be turned with a flat-head screwdriver

I bought the whole Kit - but you can buy just the rear shocks from here, just scroll down: http://www.spax-suspension.co.uk/c14..._7756_7760.htm

I don't know if they are the cheapest, but have a look around to find the best price.

    Get billies!!

Are billies adjustable? If not them i presume they are a lot stiffer than standard shocks?

Once i get a vts i'm going to go with billies as they seem to be pretty much the best set up to have !!

and stiffer dampers are not the answer really as these will more likely just bodge the handling. You need to increase the spring rate at the rear and that means torsion bars

£70 a piece though is a bit pricey lol think i pay just have to use non adjustables lol

Its only a VTR so im not going for all out track handling, im a style whore & just dont want to to bottom out, seems a bit bouncy at the back.
