    Hiya peeps!
i recently decided to change my interior door trim, as its currently lookin pretty old and worn.
So ive got my material, spray glue, torx screwdriver, and haynes modifying guide, and started what i thought would be an easy job (for a beginner)
but when i got the door panel off i found the bit i wanna trim firmly attached to the door panels like this.....
.... any idea how to seperate the panels to be able to re-trim them??
Sorry if the pics are a bit big, couldnt work out how to make em smaller.

u have 2 drill them off mate but be careful not 2 drill all the way through
then melt the plastic u have left n u may need 2 add some more plastic, use a soldering iron 4 this.

Yup you have to drill out the plastic rivets.... take your time and do it carefully... you only want to take the heads of the rivets... leave as much plastic there as possible...

Once retrimming them i G-clamped them in place and used 5 minute epoxy resin in the rivet holes to glue them back together.... work your way around the doorcard slowly... only glue a few rivets at a time.. they must be securely clamped or the doorcard wont sit flush...
and they should look something like this

if you have a dremel multi type drill use that, really easy to do but takes time, try to leave as much plastic on as you can for when you come to reattach the insert onto the door card, this will help you get it in the right position and help a bit reattaching it

to attach it use a soldering iron and bits of plastic so you can melt them back on into a kind of mushroom shape like they were, i used tie wraps on mine, cut them up into pieces and melted them in place, make sure its all melted in place or it will just come apart again

best advice i can give you is to use clamps to keep it in place while you melt the plastic, be patient and take your time
