Not your usual junk, or atleast thats what i think!!!!

Basically those of you who know youre stuff, is this a good package & whats missing to get it fitted?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEBI:IT&ih=019

You didnt think id post up a resistor did you?

Hmmmm, doesnt look too shabby and you do get a head with it, whether its been worked on or not is anybodies guess but Id still be really uncomfortable with buying a kit like that off eBay.

Might be worth getting in contact with the seller if anybodie was interested and see if they know what they are talking about and if they can fit this kit.

But still reckon anykind of blown items needs to be left to the pro's

Yea, if i bought it and took it to a tuning company would they be able to tell what had been done to it?

Ive got about 4k so i think im gonna buy it and see.

Im not too worried about buying it, and it being useless as id just sell it back on ebay!

What other parts are needed to fit that lot and get it runing?
  4. #4
Im a bit confused by the ad. Carbs mentioned and extra injectors then 4 normal injectors.

Also no mention of the cam profile, dont want one to wild blowing all your boost away.

£130 postage lol having a laugh

    But looks a good kit
  6. #6
I think that intercooler is abit small but then again its one of the better kits i have seen off egay.
  7. #7
    I want it!!

    LOL

There isn't a down pipe, this isnt a problem as my mums bessy mate's company is an engineering company.

Also you can't see the manifold in that pic, only the sides of which are clean chrome.....

What i want to know is if this is riff raff or quality. Not that because its on ebay its has to be made of tin cans and loctite.

Please give positive input! Thats of use and not flaming...

Like i said its a better kit i have seen but u have to understand that its always best to let the right guys do these sort of things to car's other wise u could end up killing ya motor.

There are a few interesting parts in there but for the most part it just a bunch of random parts thrown together. I would demand a good look at all the parts before bidding. At leas ask for some good photos of the manifold and the turbo along with the serial number and trim specs printed on it. Really ask as many questions as you can as knowing ebay I suspect most of it will be junk.

The only bits that will defiantly be use able are the MF2 assuming its in working condition and the wiring diagram. But you would need many other parts to get it working.

    The bits that worry me;

Turbo, it could be very ill and may be totaly the wrong size for what your wanting to do.

Manifold, Does not look like any profeshinal ones I have seen for sale. So may be very poor. Even if its ok it would not be worth much as a DIY job

Head. I am alsways very suspect on ported heads. Most I have seen are utter junk and you would be better off with a standard head. Se see who made it.

Cam. Sound no good for a turbo car but I would never used a already used VTR cam. But it may not even fit your car.

IC. Looks like a very odd shape to fit a Paxo.

Injectors. Does not say the size but the hard bit is fitting them.

And well I got bored now. But im just trying to say ask a LOT of questions before spending your cash.

    Agree 100%

At the end of the day a decent turbo conversion will cost about 5 or 6 grand! Dont go down these cheap ass turbo kits from egay. thats my advise but do what you want.
  16. #16
    Thanks for the advice chaps.

I think what im going to do is buy the kit & take the lot down to Chris @ crisp tuning, because if anyone knows turbos its him. Well either him or puma speed but there wrench time is like a harrods garage.

If the 'peripheral' parts are shed projects ill just get some shipped from GMC.

See what he thinks, and if its all junk ill just sell it back on ebay. If not i think ill get it slapped on.

Fingers crossed it wont be shit, plans are to run it at low boost and aim for around 150bhp. Ill still get forged pistons and hopefully just keep it as is for a while!.

But it wont be fitted until i get back from the ring, i think fitting it before is asking for trouble!

    good luck with it buddy

i saw this kit aswell. looks good if you ask me, all the parts look of good quality and the person seems to know what their doing. this is by far the best turbo kit iv seen on ebay. i would go for it if youre thinking of buying it

Its not even close to a full kit Its far from it really.

Just get a manifold from DP. http://www.dp-engineering.nl/EN/prod...ifolds/dp/psa/ or adapt the standard one your self.

A correct size turbo. Preferably new but here is a good one on ebay and its only 99p http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...1647&rd=1&rd=1

Get a IC that fits http://www.gmcmotorsport.co.uk/ or you can botch a ebay one in http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FRONT-MOUNT-IN...QQcmdZViewItem but the pace one will be much better.

Get a map sensor from you local scrap yard along with some bigger injectors.

Put two 2mm head gaskets on your engine.

Then pipe it all in. Not a hard DIY job at all.

Then take it all off and get the standard ECU mapped. Or better still get a stand alone ECU and get them to map that. If you wish to go DIY get a SigCon2 and a MF2 and just use one big injector.

Yea dont fit this till back from the ring incase of problems which ( i dont mean to be mean ) may give you problems untill all done right you know what i mean.

    Comes with MF2 & 5th / 6th injector.

    Also will get forged pistons!

Read my last post. The MF2 is about the only thing I would have any confidence of making a ok turbo setup. assuming it working ok. There is possible the turbo as well but I have very little confidence. The manifold I have a strong feeling it will be very poor. The parts in the ebay sale may be interesting but its a long way from a turbo kit. Most of the parts have no place in a cheap turbo setup. Really its a ebay sale of random parts. You are still going to have to get so many parts and spend so much. You will even have to weld up parts your self. The ebay sale is just spending lots on parts you will not need. Why bother? Why not just get the parts you need?

But as I said before if you are considering getting it ask a lot of questions and get them to send a lot of photos. Also understand exactly what you are getting and what in the kit will be useless for you.

Unless you just like throwing cash away.
