Silver headlights lights to Black Headlights

    Silver Headlights

    to Black Headlights

Changing the Grill for either a Colour coded outer to match the bodywork or changing the whole item for a Dimma style badgeless item

    Standard Grill

to a Standard grill with Colour coded outer

    or Dimma style Badgeless grill

Another easy thing to do is to colour code the lower lip spoiler on your front bumper

Back lights are a easy option as well, best to avoid Lexus lights these days as they look cheap and tacky. These are Ultra Smoked Jewls considered by most to be the best aftermarket lights for the saxo.

    Standard Phase2 Rears

    to Ultra Smoked Jewls

As for prices, well, Headlights can be done yourself or bought new for around £130ish, you can colour coded your grill yourself or find a item off a Desire model (I think) as they came with a colour coded outer grill, Dimma grills are about £30-£50, the lower lip spoiler can be done yourself and rear lights I paid £70 for my Ultra Smoked Jewls but I know people have paid less.

Like mentioned before trimming down the areal, a 206 item or plain removing it altogether can improve the look of the car.

Saxos are best suited to simple mods and best keep classy and decluttered if possible, steer clear of cheap and nasty chrome bolt on bits from Halfords and your be fine

    hehehehehe Magnex back box,

Yes, Id like a back box that doesnt fit under the car and is really quite and wont make the slightest difference to performance, you might as well just have a chrome exhaust trim imo

Or you could get a subtle spoiler like mine for the win

Please note the Janspeed exhaust on my shopping trolly doesnt hang half a foot under the car unlike the Magnex back box
Id rate Janspeed over Magnex Everytime if asked, but thats just what I think

dont warp his mind vts_16_boy, dewiper ftw
  9. #9
lol sweeet like the black headlights alot..think ill give it a go cheerz for all the suggestions aswell

magnex imo arent as bad as everyone makes out with there boxes, a mean how often do you get down and look at it, mine is great and i love it to bits, dont want it to be a loud chavvy exhaust plus its neighbourhood friendly, and doesnt make any performance, hmmm think it does if you have a full system on it

jw do any of these smaller mods like black headlights grilles etc effect insurance?
  12. #12
well if you tell them yes maybe mate, sometimes yout cover wont go up sometimes it will, especially performance mods, looks too sometimes as its making the car more attractive to thieves
  13. #13
feck sake lol oh well do them first see wt insurance says second

My spoiler is great look in this photo from a recent meet

Where's Wolly? (or more apt, 'Where's THE Wolly with the spoiler')

Can you spot me? There is a prize

Agree with the comments really with Pred, Magnex systems do perform well and its only the rear siliencer that needs attention when fitting really, but its just I think some people get alittle bit hung up on Brands thats all

Its generally ecepted the best Single mod you can do to a Phase2 Saxo is Paint/Replace the Headlights Black, if you was to do nothing else to the car Black headlights improve a standard Phase2 front huge amounts.

I got mine from www.tuning.co.uk/vauxshop and where totally ready to fit including all new bulbs and where around £130, its worth pointing out you can paint the inner sections of the headlights on your car if you like your DIY'in

hahahahaha You loved having yours in the front didnt you Karl

Gota agree on the dewiper mod, simple to do but really effective, I couldnt live with out mine to be honest. I think my Spoiler does something to the air behind the car so when its wet the spray really comes up and my back window gets really mucky

Small price to pay for all that added traction it gives me . . . . awaits comments lol
