Fan Belt?

    Hi,

    I have recently bought a VTS and am absolutely lovin it!

    Just a couple of things need soing and it will be mint! one of the minor probs is a constance squeeling noise when its at running temp. the noise is coming from the fan belt area and when i spray some WD40 on it stops for 5 mins then starts again.

    Now ive had fan belt issues on other cars but its never been a constant noise? could it be a simple fan belt change or perhaps somthing more sinister?

    VTS has no fan belt!

    How many K? and when was the cam belt last changed?

    when was the auxillary drive belt changed?

    Oh,lol

    Well its the belt attached to the alternator ?

    Both belts are due for renewall!

    yep!

    auxillary drive belt - every 36 k

    CAM belt - every 72k (or 36k if car is subjected to stop-start driving etc)

    also check the condition of the damping insert in the crank pulley, they have a tendency to perish.
