8v heads

   are the phase 1 and phase 2 8v blocks the same? if so could you put a head from mk2 2 engine and put it on a m1 block? also what else would you need to run it?

   i dont think they are the same mate - i think the manifolds holes are different and im sure there are other differences

   oh right ok i just thinking that you could take the head off a 98bhp engine and stick it on the block of a 90bhp engine and you would basically have a mk2 engine but i think i am being thick now cus i am starting to think it couldnt be that easy else everyone would do it.

   There are a few slight variants on the iron blocks them self. But if your talking as a bottom end as a hole then there are quite a few differences.
