Which Induction kit for my 1.4i Furio?

  1. #1
Hi guys i was just wondring if anyone had any preferences or could tell me which induction kit/enclosed induction kit would be best value for money if im looking to spend between £40 and £80 for my 1.4i furio and the best place to get it?

    Cheers, stretch

Well enclosed is always best as stated in my 'Big Induction thread' as they are totally enclosed and are protected from engine bay temps and there for greatly reduce Heat Soak problems.

www.kam-racing.com should be able to do you the RaceLand enclosed scoop for under £100

You will be able to pick-up cheap unbranded Open filters off eBay for that money but unless your looking fot it just to look good, getting the very best out of a Open filter takes alot of mucking about with trying to get it as far away from the engine as possible and its just easier to go for the enclosed.

Either go direct to Kam-Racings website or pm Kam-Racing from on here.

Mines a Green which is 90% the same, Kam-Racing can also upgrade the cone inside to a much higher quality Green item for an extra cost.

ye im lookin for the best induction kit for a 1.4 aswel.

ive been told that the BMC one is the best to go for, and also i couldn't find any of the cheaper raceland enclosed ones on that link

ah nice one, but performance wise would i be better off going for the BMC one.

i know the simot/raceland one looks cool, and might give a nice sound, but which will give the best gains??

    cheers
  13. #13
    i would say bcm aswell.

The raceland and BMC are both enclosed and would give very similar gains, remember that an induction kit alone will not give great gains, but paired with a good exhaust system there will be a better performance gain
  15. #15
ah i know that but im gonna start with the cheapest part first.

plan on getting a full exhaust system by the end of the summer but dont kno whether to go for a 4-1 manifold or a 4-2-1 manifold.

any suggestions as to which i should go for would be appreciated

there is a discussion on these somewhere mate but put simply 4-2-1 is for better low down power and 4-1 is better top end power. When I get my manifold ill be getting a 4-1 GMC one. But if you only have limited funds the raceland 4-2-1 is a cheap alternative which is also stainless steel

is that dpmotorsport's shop or website n if so wats the address cus £100 quidish sounds really good for your simota

Its personal prefrance really when it comes to airfilter like the the same goes for exhausts as well, different people will recommend different things.

Read my Big induction thread (click on the link under my signature labled Big induction thread) you might find that helpfull.

Its hard to say 110% which out of the two

    Scoop design

    or Totally enclosed

offers truely the best overall gains from low down gains to high up gains. Most people tend to go for the Scoop mainly from www.kam-racing.com as its very well priced but other peopl like to have what they feel is the best of the best and go for the BMC style filter.

    Only you can chooce.
