Alot will depend on budget really.
The general rule with induction kits is . . .
Open - Noise
Enclosed - Performance
But with all things performance its more to do with the way the filter in question is installed. Take alook at the RaceLand & Green scopp
I have a Green at present and have had a Cone in the past, now the scoop is feed through 2 tiny holes in the slam panel now I still reckon imo (and I know alot of people will dissagree) but I think a decent open cone filter placed behind the passanger side headlight with a good cold air feed and heat shield will perform almost 80%-90% aswell as a enclosed filter, but for all the messing about and extra cost of cold air feeds, extra pipework and heat shield you might aswell have the RaceLand item.
Look to
www.kam-racing.com for RaceLand items, there are so many theroys and opuions on what filter is best but the most well proven design is the scoop design imo but is highly restricted by the slam panel
