RPM idles 500-1k normal?

I think i might have a problem with my saxo.
It doesnt seem threatning but its abit uncomftorble because it doesnt sound very stable.

The idle revs seem very low and kind of seem like they are dieing, there about 700ish i would say, shouldnt it be like 1000 all the time?

It doesnt cut out at all but it seems to chudder, doesnt hinder my driving i think but it just doesnt sound nice

Any ideas or am i worrying about nothing?

mine idles at 800rpm, but then again mine is a different engine to yours.

In the proper haynes manual is has the manufacturers idle speeds.

Mine idles at around 700rpm and sounds fine

mine idles cold at about 1100rpm, but when i've warmed it up mine seems to drop to about 900rpm. 700rpm should be fine, but if your still worrying, you can alter the idle!

When it firsts starts up it hits 1.2k ish then settles too about 750-800 rpm.

My 1.1 in normal temperature idles around 1000 rpm. The saxo 1.1 have a frequent problem that provokes an oscillation on the rpm, but it seams that your don’t have that problem. You can adjust that.

In this image you can see a bolt that can be used to adjust the idle revs.
    Hope it helps…

I dont know if is your or if it's mine that needs update . My is the 3.16... I dont know if this is the engine that he has... But how i said before, in my car is a little bit lower than 1000rpm... But when I turn on the rear heater, the huge amount of torque of my engine lets drop the rotation to +/-800rpm, but then the ECU takes care of that and it increases to around 1000rpm again…
