#2switch not on right
-
#3what do you mean the 1 off the rad? its all wired up how it was before
-
#4yeah the 1 on the rad what about the switch on the temp sensor is that ok
-
#5yeah they all appear to be fine
-
#6are you sure you have bled it in all 3 places? i had the same problem until i re-bled all 3 and then it was fine!
-
#7make sure all the connections are firmly in place. Failing that, run flying leads to the fan from the battery to see if the motor still works.
-
#8If you have the temperature gauge working, than the temperature sensor is working fine. Do you have a multimeter? If so you can test if there is coming any voltage to the fan motor. You can also see if there is any broken fuse.
-
#9i was thinking it may need re bleeding ill try that first then if not put sum voltage to the motor
-
#10On VTR, the temp sensor for the gauges has nothing to do with the fan.
-
#11I didn’t know that. So, and again if you have a multimeter you can test if it is working right. Use the multimeter to see if the resistance of the sensor decrease with the temperature. If so, the sensor is working well.

#12Air Lock. Make sure you keep bleeding it, try and do it with the engine running but it does get bloody hot.
You will also know by feeling the top hose. If they gauge is reading high and the top hose is pretty much cold then its what i said -
#13Good point of view.Quote:Air Lock. Make sure you keep bleeding it, try and do it with the engine running but it does get bloody hot.

#14Get a 2liter pop bottle and cut the bottom off and wrap some electrical tape round the top so it seals properly and stick it in your filler cap… fill it right to the top with coolant and bleed it with the engine off at first until coolants coming out of all three screws… then tighten them up…
Then start the engine and do it again all three screws and let all the air out… keeping the bottle in filled with coolant…
Then keep the engine running still keeping the bottle in until the fan kicks in and out a few times… keep an eye out for little bubbles coming up through the coolant and keep it running till they are all gone… if the fan doesn’t kick in undo the screws again…
Take the bottle out… syphon a bit of coolant out so its inbetween the min and max marks… if it still got air in – do it again… still got air in there must be a leak or the head gasket might have gone. Unless the fan or sensors broken that is
You can squeeze the pipes too to help get the bubbles out -
#15nice 1 mate

#16mine didnt work when i got the car, it had a bad earth then worked fine. if thats any help?
-
#17fixed it when my mate put the fan back together he left the relay off
