Saxo Carpet?

  1. #1
    Hi,

Does anyone know if there is anywhere to get new carpet for a Saxo?

Obvious place being ebay, but was thinking about a different colour as my mate has just fitted a Red carpet in his R5 Turbo and it looks the nuts!!!

    Cheers

the s1 rallye 106 has a red carpet which will fit a saxo
and the s2 rallye 106 has a blue carpet

could get them from a scrapyard or breakers if your lucky

or you could look on a few forum sale sections

Look for a ralyee carpet, same as the saxo but you can get them in blue/red, other than that all saxo carpets are grey/black. You could always get a company to dye your carpet.

    Edit: Beaten to it.

how hard are these carpets to fit? wouldnt mind a blue rallye one

dont think its hard just very fiddly, you will have to strip out the seats, and take the bar off the bottom of the dash on the transmission tunnel, the seatbelt bar for front seats, and just nuts here and there

    hi,

    Thanks for that.

Think its gonna be a long shot to find a Rallye 106 with a red carpet at a scrap yard but its good to know they are around

They arnt that hard to fit, just have to get one that has been cut out nice.

Thanks though and if anyone knows where there is a red carpet for sale please PM me

I had a carpet from a 106 Rally and there is a bit of work needed to get them to fit.

The 106 had slightly different mounting points for the seats so the carpet would need to be cut there. It also will not sit over the Airbag ecu under the dash so you might want to consider getting tid of that (and all the airbag/pretensioners with it).

The floorpan on the 106 also sits slightly higher in relation to the rear bench mounts so is not a completely perfect fit, but they can look good if you take the time to fit them, and chose the rest of your interior wisely

Here's a pic of mine fitted:
