    what is the thing that goes into your manifold cover on a 2000 vtr and where would that go if a fitted a new manifold ie 4-1. cheers

    That is the lambda sensor. If you replace the manifold, the new one must have a hole to fit it in… Without that the car doesn’t work properly…

    so will the manifold have to have 2 lamda sensor holes in it cause theres one under the car aswell isnt the a think

    The newest cars (I suppose after the year 2000) must have two lambda sensors. That’s used to see if the cat is doing his work. If you remove the second one after de cat, the engine will fail too, unless you remap you ECU. That’s what many people in here have done…

    you need a lambda sleeve to hold the second lambda safe under the car. Only a few quid from GMC
