#2If you have an mk2 then the pipe will need to be bent out of the way, if it's not then it will rub on the steering arm and will eventually burst. I've got this problem and I'm down 40mm.

#3yep hasd this problem, sparco do a steering rack replacement part that stops this happening
-
#4no need to waste money just bend it up out the way
-

#6Deoes bending/moving it only apply to the mk2?

#7How do you manage to bend it? When u apply pressure to bend it the steering rod below just bends down....
-
#8is there any chance of the pipe in question? as i think i may have this problem

#9when i got my car it was standard ride height and im unsure if it was lowered or not before me but i had it lowered with 60mm springs and torsion matched and my pipe never rubbed... i bent it up a little further tho just to be sure.. look to the back of the engine bay to where the steering rack is and you'll see right away which pipe you have to bend..
